About the Tour

Your private guide will meet you at the main entrance to the castle complex with pre-booked tickets, then your tour of Prague Castle begins. Founded in the 9th century as a wooden fortress, it developed over the centuries to become the largest castle complex in the world. The castle was home to several Czech kings and two Holy Roman Emperors, and since 1918 has been the official residence of Czech presidents.

St. Vitus Cathedral: You’ll be amazed by the beauty of St. Wenceslas Chapel and St. John of Nepomuk’s tomb made from 200 kg of silver, as well as stained glass windows designed by famous Czech artists.

Old Royal Palace: You’ll tour its historic halls where you can see a replica of the Czech crown jewels.

Golden Lane: Established in the late 15th century, it contains small houses filled with galleries, including the house where famous writer Franz Kafka lived and wrote some of his works.

Daliborka Tower: The former castle prison, where you’ll learn about medieval torture instruments.
